All northumberlandscapes prints are now made on high quality canvas at 420 gsm, using Epson Ultrachrome inks, backed with acid-free mount-board. The canvas is wrapped around a wooden box frame and coated with a satin finish protective varnish, by expert printmaker Paul Wright of Morpeth. All prints are signed and from a limited edition of 75.
Prints are on box canvas instead of framed behind glass, as previously, because this reduces unwanted reflections, removes the constraining effect of the frame, and appears to render colours more vivid and lend greater depth to the image.
Most of the northumberlandscapes collection comprises high resolution images that, with specialist sharpening software, can produce large prints up to 1.5 by 1 metre in size (about 5 by 3 feet). Prints at this size have a real impact, and are ideal for large rooms in homes, offices and hotels. They also make unique wedding presents.
However, please note that images from the following river valleys are not available, since they were captured on a film camera and have insufficient resolution: Aln, Coquet, Wansbeck and Font. New images of these rivers will be made available during 2010/11.
Smaller prints are fitted with picture wire, and larger ones have D rings to hang direct from hooks screwed into the wall. Currently, Value Added Tax is not charged on these products. Prints are available in the following sizes (all are approximate) and at these prices (including packing and delivery in the UK):
